Bauxite Proppant

Alumite powder is a silicate mineral, mainly an ore containing calcium silicate (CaSiO3) and calcium aluminosilicate (Ca2Al2SiO7). This mineral is porous and adsorbent and is often used to make ceramsite sand.

Product Description

Bauxite Proppant

The main classifications of bauxite are as follows:

1. Raw bauxite and cooked bauxite. This is classified according to the way it is processed. Raw bauxite is not processed, while cooked bauxite is treated with high temperature.

2. Hard bauxite and soft bauxite. This is classified according to its hardness, with hard bauxite having a higher hardness and soft bauxite having a lower hardness.

3. Bauxite containing high aluminum oxide and ordinary bauxite. This is classified based on its chemical composition, with bauxite containing high alumina having high purity, while ordinary bauxite having lower alumina content.

Bauxite has a wide range of applications:

1. Ripe bauxite: Mainly used for precision casting in the aluminum smelting industry, refractory products, high alumina bauxite, aluminum silicate refractory fiber, and manufacturing of bauxite cement, etc.

2. Hard bauxite and soft bauxite: Hard bauxite has very high swelling and cohesiveness, and can usually be used in the production process of paper, rubber and paint in industry. Soft bauxite contains less silicates, has lower swelling and cohesiveness, and is commonly used in areas such as ceramics, glass and electronic devices due to its fine particle size and easy processing.

3. Bauxite containing high alumina: mainly used in advanced ceramics, electronics and aerospace fields.

Distribution of raw material alumite:

Alumite is widely distributed around the world, including China, the United States, Japan and other countries. In China, alunite is mainly distributed in Gansu, Hebei, Anhui, Fujian, Shanxi, Hubei, Zhejiang and other places. Among them, Fanshan Town in Gansu is known as the famous alum capital, with an alunite deposit area of more than 10 square kilometers. The reserves are 167.42 million tons, accounting for about 70% of the country and 60% of the world. In the United States, alumite is mainly found in Georgia and Virginia. In Japan, alumite is mainly distributed in Hokkaido and Shikoku Island.
